Biography
Mulobe a Ewale is Notable.
Mulobe (also Mulabe, believed by scholars to be identical to the man known to Europeans as Monneba) was a leader of the Duala people by 1630. He was the son of Ewale, who is described by oral tradition as being the ancestor of all Duala people. Assuming scholars (Edwin Ardener, later described as a "reasonable" assumption by Ralph Austen & Jonathan Derrick) are correct that Mulobe & Monneba are one & the same, this makes him the earliest documented Duala leader in European sources.[1][2][3]
